How to enable allow_kdump parameter in hpwdt module for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6?
Issue
hpwdt(HP Watchdog Timer) module reboots the system if an NMI is received and a vmcore for the NMI or hang issue couldn't be collected.- How to enable allow_kdump parameter in hpwdt module for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6?
- If the system is hung then the HP iLO2 timer register doesn't get updated in the timely fashion and that triggers an ASR (Automatic System Recovery) which reboots the system without any clue in log files. We need to collect a vmcore to find out the root cause of the issue in that circumstance.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- hpwdt module
