CUPS prints two separate documents on the same page in RHEL

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • While giving print options for two invoices, it is not printing on two separate pages. It is taking print from the first page bottom and trying to print onto two seperate pages, but the printout is showing the second page print starting at the end of the first page (bottom) but not on the new page. The remaining then continues to the second page.
  • We need to add a formfeed correctly and print on two seperate pages
  • CUPS does not appear to be adding a form feed to files sent requesting multiple copies.
  • The first page prints correctly, each subsequent page the text shifts up 5-6 lines.
  • A form feed is not being issued between print jobs on a character only (textonly) printer.
  • How do we add a blank page to the end of every document printed.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
  • A "Text-Only" Printer
