Cassandra pod doesn't start: "unable to validate against any security context constraint"

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The cassandra pod is not present in the namespace "openshift-infra":
# oc get pods -n openshift-infra
NAME READY STATUS RESTARTS AGE
hawkular-metrics-b6ccs 0/1 Running 121 18h
hawkular-metrics-jgl8n 0/1 Running 125 18h
heapster-64f4k 0/1 Running 121 18h
heapster-6xtvv 0/1 Running 121 18h
heapster-t4xxl 0/1 Running 121 18h
  • In the namespaced events you'll find:
Error creating: pods "hawkular-cassandra-1-" is forbidden: unable to validate against any security context constraint: [supplementalGroups: Invalid value: []int64{65534}: 65534 is not an allowed group]
