Can't register HPC entitlements

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • After activation of RHEL HPC Head Node subscription, registration of the system on Red Hat Network has issues.
  • The application for registering licenses, subscription-manager, displays two products installed on head node:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.2
Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Scientific Computing 6.2.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.2 can be registered without problems.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Scientific Computing 6.2, when registered, subscription-manager chooses one out of 18 licenses for compute node and register it but the repositories created contains invalid paths and the product cannot be used or updated.
  • A black pop-up warns that there is no entitlement for "Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Scientific Computing"

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for HPC Head Node
