/usr/sbin/smartctl (sporadically) segfaults on HPe Gen 10 systems
Issue
- Execution of
/usr/sbin/smartctl -H -q errorsonly /dev/sda -d cciss,0leads to a segfault (memory violation, signal 11)
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.7
- HPE generation 10 (G10, Gen 10) hardware
- smartpqi kernel module/driver
- smartmontools < 7.0-1.el7_7.1
