Adding USB printers in RHEL
Issue
- How do I add printers that are connected via USB interfaces?
- We are migrating from RHEL 6. On RHEL 6 you could use the URI detected by CUPS USB backend or a generic
/dev/usb/lp0. On RHEL7, the latter does not work. - USB printer doesn't work. CUPS error_log repeats "Waiting for printer to become available."

- Red Hat Enteprise Linux (RHEL) 7
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 1.6.3
