VMs on RHEV get paused whenever a failover occurs from one path to another

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Virtualization hosts are configured with two HBAs each, in active-passive mode. Whenever a failover is triggered (either automatically or manually), VMs go to paused state.
  • When storage maintenance is performed and one path is deactivated, all of the VMs go into a paused state. Is there a way to prevent this?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
