Is it possible to maintain parent process and subprocess in different BRM packages and execute the parent process independently?

Issue

• In case of a scenario where parent process has many sub-processes (embedded/reusable) , could it be possible to split the parent process and sub-process into different BRM packages for ease of maintenance ? Are there any specific rule of thumb to be followed?
