RHEL6.4: kernel 2.6.32-358.9.1.el6 to 2.6.32-358.22.1.el6 crashes with RIP at "nfs_have_delegation+9"
Issue
- httpd going into D state and then eventually being killed. During the investigation we saw that the hung_task_timeout processes had 'nfs' in their stack trace.
- Kernel crashed with
RIP: nfs_have_delegationandnfs4_handle_exceptionin the call trace
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4.z
- Kernels including 2.6.32-358.9.1.el6 up to and including 2.6.32-358.22.1.el6
- NFS4 client with delegations enabled on the NFS server
