RHEV: Snapshot deletion was very slow and was taking more time than expected

Issue

  • Snapshot deletion was very slow and was taking more time than expected.
  • I am running RHEL 6.1 on top of RHEV-H (6.4) and just for testing purposes I have created and then deleted a snapshot.
    This snapshot deletion took about 30 minutes.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.2
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor (RHEV-H) '20130528.0.el6_4'
  • FibreChannel storage domain
