Winbind disconnects from trusted domains after a period of inactivity
Issue
- Winbind disconnects from an Active Directory trusted domain after a period of inactivity. User accounts within the domain cannot be enumerated until trust is restored.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (prior to version 5.9)
- samba3x-3.5
- samba3x-winbind-3.5
- Windows 2003/2008 primary and secondary domain controllers with transitive trust configured between each
