[6.4 Bug] sssd/LDAP caching of GID problem

Issue

  • Using sssd with caching enabled.
  • The gids are not consistantly being translated to group names when running id, ls -l or other commands that display the group information.
  • If one runs getent group groupname, sssd will cache that information for a while until the entry times out and then the group names are no longer displayed.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Update 4
  • sssd-1.9.2-82.7.el6_4.x86_64
  • sssd-client-1.9.2-82.7.el6_4.x86_64
