BRMS using cpu time when "idle"

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

Once a fresh install of JBoss BRMS is started, there are frequent CPU spikes caused by the JBoss java process. No one is accessing the server, so the BRMS should not be utilising the CPU.

Environment

  • JBoss BRMS (Business Rule Management System) 5.0.2
