[Satellite6] qpidd and qdrouterd consuming a lot of memory when goferd clients or qdrouterd services are often flapping

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • goferd agents are often reconnecting (e.g. as a result of moving clients among Capsules, or restarting qdrouterd on Capsules, or similar)
  • qpidd and qdrouterd processes on Satellite consume high amount of memory (tens of GB)
  • sometimes the goferd agents are bounced on a connection attempt (e.g. with Timeout exception/error)

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6
  • (tens of) thousands of Content Hosts with katello agent / goferd, registered via multiple Capsules
