Issue

  • In RHEV Manager, apc_snmp is configured like the following,
Address: fence.example.com
User Name: root
Password: <PASSWORD>
Type: apc_snmp
Slot: 11
Options: snmp-version=3, snmp-auth-prot=MD5, snmp-sec-level=authPriv, snmp-priv-prot=DES, snmp-priv-passwd=<PASSWORD>, delay=30
  • When clicking test it fails with the following error message,
Test Failed, Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'snmp-auth-prot=MD5' Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'snmp-version=3' Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'snmp-priv-prot=DES' Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'secure=no' Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'snmp-sec-level=authPriv' Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'snmp-priv-passwd=<PASSWORD>' Returned 1: Timeout: No Response from fence.example.com:161 Please use '-h' for usage
  • Manual testing using the fence_apc_snmp works as expected,
/usr/sbin/fence_apc_snmp --action=status --ip=fence.example.com --username=root --password=<PASSWORD> --plug=11 --snmp-version=3 --snmp-auth-prot=MD5 --snmp-sec-level=authPriv --snmp-priv-prot=DES --snmp-priv-passwd=<PASSWORD> --delay 30
