Issue

  • Does Linux Virtual Server load balancing add-on (piranha) require IPv6?
  • LVS fails if the IPv6 modules are stopped from loading

  • The ipvsadm command fails with:

    FATAL: Error inserting ip_vs (/lib/modules/*/kernel/net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
Can't initialize ipvs: Protocol not available
