What are the implications of using the inode64 option while exporting XFS over NFS ?

Are there any tuning recommendations for the XFS filesystem, NFS service and the amount of memory for this virtual machine to get optimal performance during data access or
xfs_repairoperations ? -
We took a look into XFS FAQ and it looks like there may be trouble when not using INODE64 over NFS. Do you have any recommendations?

It looks like another parameter may work as well : The
no_subtree_checkoption in /etc/exports. Do we have to set it up as well?
