Issue

• Package dyninst in the distribution to ease maintainability for other tools that use the API and for possible use as an execution engine for (restricted classes of) systemtap scripts.
• Customer is currently maintaining numerous tools (Open|SpeedShop, TAU, Paraver, ...) that ship and install their own version of Dyninst.
• It's a fairly powerful, mature and unique tool which may attract more users, particularly in debugging and performance analysis, if it were more widely available.
