Why does Red Hat Enterprise Linux versino 5.5 virtual guest consuming physical entitlement in RHN classic/satellite which is under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 host?

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (RHEL)

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL)  

• Red Hat Network (RHN classic) / Red Hat Network Satellite 5.4 (RHN Satellite)

• KVM

Issue

• RHEL-5.5 KVM guest system which is running on top of RHEL-6 host server is consuming physical entitlement on RHN classic / RHN Satellite-5.4 server.

Resolution

• This issue is addressed in following bugzilla:

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=663361
  

• As per above bugzilla, this issue will be resolved in RHEL-5.6 release.
