How to configure yum to create a snapshot of my root logical volume before transactions in RHEL 6?
Issue
- I would like yum to take a snapshot of my root logical volume before installing, updating, or removing any packages, for disaster recovery purposes in the event that the update fails or causes problems
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- root file system stored on an LVM logical volume
