Issue

  • Getting the following error when trying to apply the patch CP3 on RH-SSO 7.3
[standalone@localhost:9990 /] patch apply /rh-sso-7.3.3-patch.zip
java.io.IOException: WFLYPAT0047: Cannot copy files from java.io.FileInputStream@178514f7 to /rh-sso-7.3/.installation/patches/rh-sso-7.3.3.CP/misc/bin/client/jboss-cli-client.jar: /rh-sso-7.3/.installation/patches/rh-sso-7.3.3.CP/misc/bin/client/jboss-cli-client.jar (No such file or directory)
  • I'm getting error when attempting to apply JBoss EAP 7.1.6 patch. I run jboss-cli.sh and connect to the admin port, but when I run the 'patch apply' command and I get the below result:
 ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (management-handler-thread - 4) WFLYCTL0013: Operation ("patch") failed - address: ([("core-service" => "patching")]) - failure description: "java.io.IOException: WFLYPAT0047: Cannot copy files from /opt/eap/standalone/configuration/jboss-02-standalone.xml to /opt/eap/.installation/patches/jboss-eap-7.1.6.CP/configuration/standalone/jboss-02-standalone.xml: /opt/eap/standalone/configuration/jboss-02-standalone.xml"
  • I got the following result when looking for the file permission:
[jboss@localhost ~]$ ls -l /opt/rh/jboss-eap-7.1/standalone/configuration/jboss-02-standalone.xml
total 4
-rw-r-----. 1 root     root     37376 Mar 28  2019 jboss-02-standalone.xml
