Why does WinSCP fail to copy files with the attribute "."?

Even with SELinux disabled the EA tags on the file systems does not seem to work when trying to copy file into the system.

Permission bits has an additional ".", when try to SCP into the server this "." creates an issue stating that "unecpected directory lising and "." is not a valid integer value".
