Issue

A Camel smb:// endpoint cannot send files to, or receive files from, recent Microsoft Windows installations. The exception shows only a failure to connect:

Caused by: jcifs.smb.SmbException: Failed to connect: foo/1.2.3.4
    at jcifs.smb.SmbTransport.connect(SmbTransport.java:309) ~[jcifs-1.3.17.jar!/:na]
    at jcifs.smb.SmbTree.treeConnect(SmbTree.java:156) ~[jcifs-1.3.17.jar!/:na]
        ...

  • Red Hat Fuse
    • 7.x
  • Microsoft Windows

    • Server 2019
    • Windows 10
  • Most likely all earlier Fuse versions are affected

  • Probably some other Windows releases are affected
