Network stops functioning on RHEL6 guest under Hyper-V when the irqbalance service is started
Issue
On RHEL6 Hyper-V virtualisation guests configured with more than 1 virtual CPU and with the irqbalance service running, the networking stops functioning ~5-10 seconds after the network service is started.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 virtualisation guest
- Configured with more than 1 virtual CPU
irqbalanceservice running
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V virtualisation host
