jmap not found from RHN's sun java package

Issue

  • We've installed the java-1.6.0-sun package. We need to create a heap dump through the jmap command but it is not found:

    # find /usr/lib/jvm -type f -name "jmap"
No results found. Not sure where to look for that "jmap" tool in default java

    Where can we acquire jmap?

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Sun Java
