Should there be equal number of scsi_hostadapterX entries for each HBA installed on the server?
Can 1 HBA with multiple ports still be considered as having 1 scsi_hostdapterX entry in /etc/modprobe.conf?
Are the entries for HBAs the same with RHEL4 & RHEL5 in /etc/modprobe.conf?
