Cannot mount CIFS DFS share in RHEL 6, failed with return code = -6
Issue
- Cannot mount
CIFS DFSshare which functions on other Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers. - The following messages appear in
/var/log/messagesafter attempting the mount.
Jul 17 14:19:02 hatsune-example cifs.upcall: keyctl_describe_alloc failed: Invalid argument
Jul 17 14:19:02 hatsune-example kernel: CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -6
- The
mountcommand outputs the following error:
mount error(6): No such device or address
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
