  • FUJITSU Supercomputer PRIMEHPC FX1000 system

Issue

  • FUJITSU MP1000 configurations without the local disk device will not install
  • FUJITSU Supercomputer PRIMEHPC FX1000 configurations without the local disk device will not install

Resolution

  • Any of the FUJITSU MP1000 / FUJITSU Supercomputer PRIMEHPC FX1000 configurations without the local disk device requires the Tofu Interconnect driver to access its remote disk for the installation and booting.
  • Fujitsu is responsible for the delivery and the support of the driver.
  • The installation of the 3rd party driver will taint the RHEL kernel. Fujitsu'S L1/L2 support will effectively separates the 3rd party driver issues from that of RHEL.
