How to confirm if Accelerated Flow Steering (ARFS) is disabled for Solarflare sfc NIC?
Issue
- How to confirm if Accelerated Flow Steering (ARFS) is disabled for Solarflare
sfc
NIC? - High CPU seen following kernel update, and which persisted after third-party Solarflare driver update also. It looks like NIC is trying to execute Accelerated RFS. We do not intend to use RFS, as is evident by our lack of configuration of the
/proc/sys/net/core/rps_sock_flow_entries
andrps_flow_cnt/rps_cpus
files for the interrupt queues.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- Solarflare network interface using
sfc
driver
