How can I turn on keep-alive connections in JBoss ESB HTTPRouter?

Issue

I've seen configuration of HTTPRouter in https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/18036 which is fine.
However, I do engage keep alives of the JBoss ESB HTTPRouter component. I can see it uses Apache HttpClient under the bonnet but I can't see how to turn on keep alives.
Can you tell me how to do this?
