Issue

Approximately every 10 minutes, the following messages are seen in the system messages file /var/log/messages and dmesg :

kernel: psmouse.c: bad data from KBC - timeout
kernel: psmouse.c: Mouse at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost synchronization, throwing 1 bytes away.
kernel: psmouse.c: failed to re-enable mouse on isa0060/serio1
kernel: psmouse.c: resync failed, issuing reconnect request
kernel: input: PS/2 Generic Mouse as /class/input/input8
kernel: psmouse.c: Failed to enable mouse on isa0060/serio1</code>
