New installation of RHEL-6 on HP ProLiant DL380p hangs while starting Anaconda

Issue

  • Trying to install RHEL 6.4 via the network fails on an HP ProLiant DL380p. The anaconda script is executed but does not proceed.
  • The last line in the anaconda log is:
13:52:33,327 INFO    : Running anaconda script /usr/bin/anaconda

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
  • HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8
