crond should auto restart over crash, like rsyslog?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Some critical services like rsyslog, sshd auto restart by systemd if crash due to any reasons. This should even apply to crond. For some reason, if crond stop, critical services like logrotate won't work and this may cause serious problems for the system.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Before cronie-1.4.11-23.el7
