S2I build failure when assembly plugin is used

Issue

If pom file in git project contains maven-assembly-plugin and some dependencies then S2I build fails with an error like the following:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-deploy-plugin:3.0.0-M1:deploy (default-deploy) on project test-rules: ArtifactDeployerException: Failed to deploy artifacts: Could not transfer artifact com.sample:test-rules:jar:1.0.0-20190712.075733-1 from/to snapshots (https://maven.repository.redhat.com/ga/: Failed to transfer file https://maven.repository.redhat.com/ga/com/sample/test-rules/1.0.0-SNAPSHOT/test-rules-1.0.0-20190712.075733-1.jar with status code 400 -> [Help 1]

i.e. it fails to download kjar itself.
