Viewing group tasks in Business Central Console complains with 'javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException Unable to find org.jbpm.task.User with id TESTGROUP'

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • While trying to view tasks assigned to groups by clicking on Group Tasks tab in Business Central Console it complains with the following error in the log
javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException Unable to find org.jbpm.task.User with id TESTGROUP

The sample groups have already been added via the SampleGroups.mvel file and the ORGANIZATIONALENTITY table in the database also shows the TESTGROUP listed as a Group. The jbpm-human-task.war/WEB-INF/web.xml file has been configured to use the DefaultUserGroupCallbackImpl. The task in question has got TESTGROUP added in the groupId attribute , and in fact the PEOPLEASSIGNMENTS_POTOWNERS table also confirms that TESTGROUP is listed as a potential owner for the task.
Can you suggest why is jBPM5 engine still tries to lookup TESTGROUP as a user rather than a group object?
