[QA] [5.2] Authentication data of yum-updatesd and RHN server.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • This is a question regarding authorization of yum-updatesd to RHN. "up2date updateLoginInfo() login info" is displayed periodically in /var/log/up2date.
  • Our customer concerns about this message and customer would like to know the authenticate mechanism between yum-updatesd and RHN server.
  • Questions:

1. What type of data yum-updatesd sends when it connects to RHN?
2. What is the condition to display "up2date updateLoginInfo() login info" message?
Fujitsu thinks this message will appear when the authentication data which the server stores for connecting to RHN is updated due to it's expiration. Is this a correct reason to display that message?
3. If no.2 is correct, how long will it usually take to expire the authentication data?
