Enhancement request for choosing of packages in kickstart profile on satellite

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When adding additional Packages (RPM) to a kickstart profile in Satellite, there is no possibility to browse through available packages. One has to know the exact package name.
  • Browsing for a correct filename saves a lot of time compared to looking it up via shell.
  • Selection of available packages when going through a kickstart's additional RPM to be installed packages.
  • Click on to be installed RPM Packages in any kickstart profile. Have a dropdown box to select existing packages.
  • When adding additional Packages (RPM) to a kickstart profile in Satellite, there is no possibility to browse through available packages. The selection of "Additional packages" for a kickstart file on a satellite server is a very time consuming task since the admin may not be aware of a package list and the contents of some known packages like @base or @virtualization. Is there a way to get something like a list implemented, where one can select the needed packages from?
