net-snmp 5.7.2-24 : unable to handle double byte characters like UTF-8

Issue

  • snmptrapd (net-snmp 5.7.2-24) on RHEL 7 is unable to handle double byte characters like UTF-8.
  • Though it can handle single byte characters (US-ASCII characters) properly, UTF-8 and ShiftJIS characters are displays as "........."
