oscap-docker commands fail with "ImportError: No module named docker"

Issue

  • On attempting to scan a docker image with oscap-docker, the bellow error is seen:
[root@r7 ~]# oscap-docker image-cve registry.access.redhat.com/rhel7
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/oscap-docker", line 23, in <module>
    from oscap_docker_python.oscap_docker_util import OscapScan
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/oscap_docker_python/oscap_docker_util.py", line 27, in <module>
    import docker
ImportError: No module named docker
