Issue

  • If the db2 10.1 DAS service is running, an update to upstart causes the X server to crash, after 'Enter' or '@' keys in a console.

  • The X-server crashes with the following in the /var/log/messages log:

Feb  2 12:28:18 serv init: db2fmcd main process (7579) killed by SEGV signal
Feb  2 12:28:18 serv init: db2fmcd main process ended, respawning
