ipa error when removing a duplicate sudo or hbac rules

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

I have two sudo rules with the same name, "sudo-test". When I try and deleted them from the web interface and the console I get the following message:

ipa: ERROR: The search criteria was not specific enough. Expected 1 and found 2.

I tried the --continue option on the command line but that did not work either. I have also tried using a wildcard on the command line, but this has also not worked.

The same error can also occur for duplicate hbacrules

# ipa hbacrule-del rulename
ipa: ERROR: The search criteria was not specific enough. Expected 1 and found 2.

How can I remove the duplicate rule?
