Poor CUPS Performance in RHEL caused by DNS problems
Issue
- If we point to
lpd://workstation1/printer1it adds about 5 seconds to the total print time. If we point to the IP address or put an entry for the workstation in/etc/hoststhe total print time decreases. - Slow printing using local network attached printer
