Plug-in configuration property names and values are case sensitive when specified from the JBoss ON remote API or CLI

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Setting plug-in configuration property Type to Parent didn't work
  • Update to plug-in configuration property value is not saved
  • Are plug-in configuration properties case sensitive?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1.2
  • Updating a resource's plug-in configuration using the JBoss ON remote API or command-line interface (CLI):

    ConfigurationManager.updatePluginConfiguration(<resource_id>, newConfig);

  • The case of the plug-in configuration property, or its value, provided by the API or CLI call does not match what is defined in its plug-in descriptor.
