Why does automount leaves stale entries in /net during umount?
Issue
- Autofs fails to unmount entries in /net the directory.
- Directories exist but are completely empty.
- Changing to a recently unmounted /net directory and running an ls produces the error:
ls: .: No such file or directory
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- autofs-5.0.5-74.el6_4.x86_64
