Cannot start embedded host controller, Could not read or create the domain UUID in file for JBoss EAP CLI

Issue

  • Applying a script starting with embed-host-controller with command line:

    /opt/rh/eap7/root/usr/share/wildfly/bin/jboss-cli.sh -Djboss.server.config.dir=/opt/master/domain/configuration --file=script.cli

    Results in error:

    Cannot start embedded Host Controller: WFLYEMB0022: Cannot invoke 'start' on embedded process: WFLYHC0160: Could not read or create the domain UUID in file: /opt/rh/eap7/root/usr/share/wildfly/domain/data/kernel/process-uuid: /opt/rh/eap7/root/usr/share/wildfly/domain/data/kernel/process-uuid
