Tomcat logs are missing

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Tomcat5.5.28,  the one which is downloaded from Tomcat website, shows " catalina.out, admin.log, catalina.log, host-manager.log, localhost.log, manager.log " in log directory.
  • While Tomcat5 which is installed  from DVD shows only "catalina.out" log.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux

  • Tomcat5
