Issue

  • Restrict user password in JON.
  • Enforce a quality password with a minimum of 7 characters.
  • Passwords will be changed annually at minimum.
  • Passwords will be set with an initial password and configured to be changed by the user at the user’s first logon.
  • Maintain a record of the previous 5 passwords used and prevent re-use (password history).
  • Enforce the minimum password age of 1 day for user account passwords.
  • Limit the number of unsuccessful log-on attempts allowed to a maximum of 10 and force, at a minimum, a 30 minute time delay before further log-on attempts are allowed.
  • Inactive user accounts that have not been used for 45 days will be disabled.
