[RHEL5] Service Guard cluster is not coming up after upgrading Red Hat Enterprise Linux to 5.8

Issue

HP Serviceguard cluster is not coming up after Red Hat patch has been upgraded from 5.7 to 5.8. pindentd failed to load.

In /var/log/messages the following can be seen:

cmclconfd[10989]: Unable to connect to server 127.0.0.1 on port 113 (Connection refused). 
cmclconfd[10989]: Unable to properly gather the remote user for fd 3.  Please make sure the remote node is running identd. 
cmruncl: Request from root on node SERVER to start the cluster on this node failed: not authorized.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.8
authd-1.4.3-14.x86_64
HP Serviceguard version 11.18.01
pidentd-3.0.19-0.x86_64
