Move to maintenance mode would ask for an optional reason

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Ability to add a note when putting a "HOST" into maintenance mode
  • Currently, when a host is in maintenance mode, you have no idea why some admin set it to maintenance mode. You may activate it which is not what the other admin wanted. When moving to maintenance mode, pop up a dialog asking for a reason (optional). When someone set a reason for maintenance mode, one would be see it when trying to move the host back to Up.
  • Please can the RHEV Manager GUI provide a mechanism to "add a note" why a HOST has been placed in "maintenance" mode. The reasoning behind this is a user (lets call this user A) will place a HOST in maintenance mode for a specific reason. Another user (lets call this user B) will see or login to the GUI at a later stage and see a HOST in maintenance mode.. User B has no ability within RHEV to understand why the HOST is in "maintenance" mode. It would be great that User B could then look at the note to understand why it is in maintenance...
  • I know it is simplistic but when we have anything up to 5 shifts and numerous backend 3rd level administrators of the environment some means of easily adding a note would be good.
