The resize2fs command fails to run on a 16TiB filesystem
Issue
- The resize2fs command fails to run on a 16TiB filesystem
- The resize2fs command fails when run against a filesystem on a 16TiB device.
- It aborts with the following error message.
# resize2fs -f <device-name> 2147483647 resize2fs 1.41.12 (17-May-2010) resize2fs: File too large while trying to determine filesystem size - It's not reasonable that 16Tib filesystem can be created but the resize2fs command fails.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 or 6
- e2fsprogs-1.41.12-3.el6
- e2fsprogs-1.39-23.el5
